Industry: E-commerce

E-commerce QA services, proven on release-critical and marketplace platforms

We've cut regression time from 4 days to 40 minutes on a fast-releasing retail platform, and scaled a global media marketplace's automated suite from 80 tests to 2,700 — automation wired into CI/CD, with API contract testing and audits behind the releases.

What we found

Patterns from two e-commerce engagements

  • Manual regression that outran the release cycle

Releases went out every two weeks, but manual regression testing alone took 4–5 days each cycle — and bugs still slipped into production. Every deployment was “a source of anxiety rather than progress.” We built a Playwright suite wired into GitHub Actions that runs a full regression on every pull request automatically.

  • 80 tests, an hour each run, and no way to know what they covered

The suite stood at roughly 80 end-to-end tests, taking over an hour to run, with no structured test documentation behind it — no way to assess real coverage or find the gaps. We grew that to 2,700 automated tests at 90% coverage, with full regression now running in 2 hours.

  • A marketplace with zero margin for error on either side

This marketplace sold stock video, music, and 3D assets to buyers and sellers worldwide — a platform where, as the case study puts it, “licensing compliance, content integrity, and financial transaction accuracy all had to work correctly for both buyers and sellers.” A specialised testing strategy was needed, not just more tests.

  • Backend problems that only surfaced on the frontend

Nothing tested the API layer on its own, so backend issues only showed up once they broke something a customer could see. We added API contract testing with Postman and Newman — catching backend problems before they ever reach the frontend.
